Visits

Well thanks for yesterday.  I'm not over the issue of it but I have had a very slight giggle.  And I mean slight giggle.  

My morning started off with a early coffee with my friend and neighbour Nicola. And it was so lovely to see her and have a blether.  

A lie down later and my mum and sister came down from Edinburgh to see me. I haven't seen my younger sister for 4 years as we have had our issues but since I've been in hospital she reached out and we have text most days. And it was really lovely to see her and my mum. I sorted my mums phone for her and deleted a load of apps. She gets so stressed when she can't work things and she really is progressing with memory loss. So I have literally put the 4 things she will use on her main screen.  WhatsApp,  messenger, Facebook and phoning.  And have said she doesn't need to touch anything else. 

I was nearly napping when the wildlings and Mr R came to see me. We played uno, made a wee craft , sorted out forms for school etc and just had a few hugs. 

Remember my chap Steven I had in blip last week. The jedi made him cry ( in a good way ). Steven is a ex addict. He's a lovely man and we chat everyday.  But we all bumped into him outside and Carson was like " nice to meet you Steven,  can I hug you ".  And they both hugged. 

Steven told me that no one has hugged him in a very very long time. As they see what he used to be and not what he is now. I'm too emotional at the moment and that comment nearly made me cry. But he said it's made him so happy. We're on the same ward too so he comes over for a chat. 

My extra photo shows the only exercise I'm allowed to do. And not a lot. But it's more than enough for my back.
