The first peony

The first from our garden, at any rate! We have four different peony shrubs; two pink, one dark red and one white. The fragrance from this one is delicate but divine!

I don’t really like to cut the flowers to bring them indoors as there are usually so few on each shrub. This year, though, two of the bushes are floribundant! (That’s not a word, but I hope you know what I mean).

Another foray outside is due soon, for some more gorgeousness to bring inside. :-)
