Mr Chips kept to the shady parts of the patio while foraging for anything edible. I was surprised the cool fresh water in the birdbath didn’t entice him for a sip or two • An unusually warm day with temps already 90F, a bit humid too, and hazy from the Canada wildfires • MrsP and I enjoyed a late breakfast picnic at the river. Sadly no jumping sturgeon today, but perhaps tomorrow :) A few ducks around but not a seagull in sight! • A few days ago I spotted a new bird in the lilacs pulling material from a nesting ball. It was difficult to see or take a photo because of the foliage but I’m confident it was a female American Redstart! A first! • Peace & Love
