I’ll Follow The Sun

We attended the funeral of my cousin’s daughter in Taunton this morning. She was only 55 and died of a brain tumour just 2 years after her Mum died from the same cause. In fact, the only time we met her as an adult was at her Mum’s funeral but by all accounts she was a warm, funny and loving person, devoted to her family. Sadly, my cousin is so badly affected by dementia that he is unaware that either of them have passed away.

Along with poetry, and Kate Bush’s song “This Woman’s Work”, the service finished with The Beatles’ singing “I’ll Follow The Sun”.

It was all rain and very little sun today so this ornamental sun dial in our garden was as symbolic as I could get.
