Silvery
It's been raining on and off here. Managed to get the hound out in a dry interlude. This silver birch markings caught my eye today.
Got on with household tasks. Cleaning limescale off sinks with a solution of citric acid powder, water and a bit if light scrubbing. Made lemon curd in the afternoon.
Screaming construction noise from across the road's loft conversion has permeated the afternoon so sitting and reading has been impossible. The kitchen has been furthest away. But even there the noise was giving interference to my stereo radio in the kitchen. Too wet outside to escape.
Our neighbourhood WhatsApp group alerted our side of the street Nos 1-39 and we're 25 to someone flytipping at the bottom of gardens. One house even had their fence broken as someone's dog had got into one of the gardens in pursuit of the numerous foxes and had careered through the hedges into other gardens.
Mr went to the estate at the end of our garden to check the security of our fence and I checked to see if anyone had flytipped. All was fine. In the past I found glass bottles and drinks cans thrown over the fence at the end of our garden and was worried our dog or wildlife would get injured. Thankfully that stopped when I contacted a local councillor. Sadly the councillor no longer responds.
This week has disappeared rapidly.
Pleasant evening everyone.
