Emperor dragonfly

This is a new one to me. I was surprised to see a "hawker" in flight as well as the skimmers and chasers as it's still early for them. Some research revealed that this dragonfly is often mistaken for a hawker, but I do not recall seeing one before. This is a female, the green and blue colouring, as well as the obvious act of ovipositing.
