Proud Mum

Generally a pretty horrible day - rain and more rain. Eventually made it down as far as the landing stages and photographed this female Mallard with her chicks - well settled at the side of the lake right next to the landing stages.

I wasn't able to get the female and the chicks in focus in a single shot, and too small an aperture would make the background more distracting. So I took this as a focus stack and put the shots together manually in photoshop.
