They have arrived....

Yesterday I threw  out some old apples with no takers, today a smushy pear.  And wouldn’t you know it....within 30 minutes about a dozen or so waxeyes were tucking into the pear.  How did they know ?  Clever little birds, perhaps another reason is the weather, we only reached 7 degs today !!
This one is taken through the window as it was getting dark, so not that great, but more for me to know when they arrived.
Another 8mm this morning on top of the 40mm yesterday, and again tonight its absolutely chucking it down.  
Winter surely has arrived. Parts of our lawn are flooded the rest just so wet the water squelches up over our footwear.
More photo editing this afternoon - wetland birds, a walk a friend and I did a couple of weeks back.  I'm happy to report that my editing is up to day, I hate getting behind.  Wetland birds.
