Bus Station

Old Bus Station, Taunton - decaying 50's architecture.
Taunton bus station, located on Tower Street, opened in 1953, designed by H.A. Starkey of the Tilling Group. Built by F. & E. Small at a cost of £23,041, it was one of a series of town centre bus stations constructed by the Tilling Group.The station was initially operated by Western National Omnibus Company and later by The Buses of Somerset. It closed in 2020 and has since been repurposed.   Most recently NHS Vaccination centre.
