Musing of a Lady

Overcast

We had a broken night last night, so we both struggled getting out of bed this morning. Its had a knock on effect all day. Little Man got through nursery without any issues. He blew me kisses through the classroom window when I left.

I managed another load of laundry, which had to go into the tumble dryer as I didn't dare hang it outside. Its been very windy and overcast all day. We managed to bike to the supermarket after I collected Little Man, but it was hard work coming home as I had to bike into the wind.

We spent the afternoon hanging out at home. Little Man had a lovely time playing. We even fed the ducks by our house. What's when I took this photo. Little Man's giggling was so rewarding. We also went to look at the swans after dinner, which Little Man also enjoyed (see the extra photo). The swans were okay to begin with, but after a few minutes decided they weren't. So we had to beat a quick retreat. Little Man wasn't happy about that.

Whilst he was distracted I was able to do some tidying up and got the vacuum cleaner round the downstairs. The floors in our house show the dirt extremely quickly and, in an ideal world, need vacuuming and mopping at least once a day.

I'm hoping I'm not shooting myself in the foot by letting Little Man stay up a bit tonight. He's sitting next to me, colouring. He's usually in bed by 7 o'clock, but tonight I'm aiming for 7:30.

Post Script. I've finally managed to sort out all the details for our time in England and the Isle of Man next month, so my trip is officially live on PolarSteps. Click here to see the trip.
