A Sunny Friday
A day in the sun. It was the kind of Orkney day that beguiles the visitor-
sunshine on sparkling water, green buttercupped fields studded with black cattle, lime green fields shorn of silage, pillaged by black crows and puff ball white clouds hanging under an azure sky.
The water when we dipped seemed warmer than yesterday and synchronised handstands were done - we need a bit of practice obviously.
EllyJay came round after lunch and we managed to put in the afternoon beautifully. She has been doing some really complicated fabric printing which impresses me hugely.
One of the Selkies gave me rhubarb this morning which has been stewed and eaten with yoghurt. I don’t think I have ever seen such sturdy sticks of the stuff. I swear they could have been used as lethal weapons had I not disabled them by stewing.
