Sparkling river water...

While I wouldn't drink it, I'm amazed at how crystal clear the river water is.

We pump from the river. Its about 45m away and 35m uphill (it takes 3 minutes to fill) into a 1000 Litre, food grade, poly tank for gardening or washing the car or ATV.
Our well for the house is not capable of keeping up with landscaping demands.

I add 2/3rds cup of javex and we cover the tank from sunlight.
