Zabulon Skipper
I decided to go with an easy shot today, a compliant little grass skipper that was perched at the edge of our woods. My second choice for the day was a tiny spider that I have not yet identified although maybe some sort of long-jawed orb weaver? I have put it in Extra - keep in mind that it's super tiny, not scary at all!
I was on a WhatsApp group video call this morning with HillyBlips, the two other women I'll be traveling with, and our guide, Jeffrey, to go over some of the logistics for the upcoming trip to the Amazon. Jeff shared a bunch of photos from last year's trip, and I confess that I am getting very excited about the whole thing. Of course, the jaguars are a main feature, but the birds in that region are also spectacular and we have a decent chance of seeing Tapir, Giant Anteater, Capybara, Giant Otters and maybe even an ocelot.
I also had a nice chat with bestie Peg, and then lunch with a good friend who lives just a few miles from me. And tonight is virtual cocktails (or in my case, "mock"tails) with Kura, Ellen and Peg. And tomorrow I am shooting a dog show, which I am looking forward to. Which means that tomorrow I will be posting a dog photo. There are some interesting breeds registered, as well as some dogs I know from prior shows, so lots to choose from.
Another day in the 80's with fairly high humidity and thunderstorms in the forecast later. The warm spell will break tonight with highs in the 70's tomorrow which is normal for us this time of year.
Hubs and I have been watching Season 2 of Lioness on Hulu - it's entertaining although stretches the realm of credibility to the extreme. Checks the box in terms of mindless entertainment.
