Mmmm!
Wild strawberries. What a treat.
An early visit to the plot, a tad fresh I have to say. I pricked out carrots, sowed Rainbow chard, did a bit of weeding.
Down to CK 39 mins earlier than normal. Gave Mum her breakfast, walked Indie on the heath
Back at Mum's I made up a flask of coffee, grabbed a couple of mugs plus the pain au raisin I bought in the Coop, then drove over to Stover Countryside Park. We walked a little way around the lake until we found a picnic table in the sunshine. Plenty of Mallards including young, , Coots with young, & young Mandarin ducks. They are quite tame as they get fed by the visitors to the park. We found ourselves a nice quiet spot, quiet for about 5 mins. We enjoyed our coffee & pastries, then moved on around the lake, hoping to see the cygnets with their parents. We only spotted one Swan across the far side of the lake. We parked our bottoms on a bench on the walkway & fed the birds & squirrels. I brought wild bird seed mix plus monkey nuts. We had plenty of visitors. Duck, Robin, Nuthatch, Wood pigeon, Coal tit, Great tit, Blue tit, & squirrels. Mum loved it, I did too.
Back to CK, I made lunch for Mum, did the washing up, then drove out to BT.
I gardened for George & Jean. 3 hours today.
