8th Grade Graduation...Thinking Ahead? Reflecting?

An early morning (7:45) wake-up to watch grandson Merrick graduate from the 8th grade. I know it's cliche...but where has the time gone? He now starts the journey into high school.

It was a nice ceremony, with Merrick being able to stand up for having an A-B average. I couldn't believe how many of his classmates who stood up for having all A's. All in all, there were 215 graduating.

I hope he doesn't follow in Grandpa Tim's footsteps academically, and instead follows Grandma Lisa's example. Although he loves his football, it's important to keep his nose in the books.
