Green Days

It has rained nearly every day for the past week leading to a massive growth spurt in the plants around. This is a rather arid climate so even a little water makes the plants happy! 

On this mornings walk we spotted the gray crane that seems to go fishing every morning at the lake. He was hard to spot with all the long grass in the way and I didn't want to venture any closer because of the ticks. My 200mm fell a little short so he is a bit blurry. With a birthday coming up maybe a used super telephoto is in my future....
