I love reflections and this turned out really well

It’s PRIDE! 
And it is World Pride in DC. We’ll see how it goes. 

The new Dir of Comms of my company, being outstanding at what she does, asked if we are using British English or American English. Since a lot of our prospective client base is European, and since no one wants to buy American, and since we are trying to show we are an AFRICAN company not just an American company, I said British. 

Is this a tiny version of Ukrainians no longer using the Russian language? 

Last night Ukraine hit a fuel depot near a Russian bomber air base. Pictures on social media show it in flames. 

Ukraine created a platform to promote collaboration with defense tech stakeholders. It connects Ukrainian military units with developers and manufacturers. It is designed to streamline procurement. It lets military units browse, select, and directly procure the technologies they deem essential, using their budgets. This is nearly impossible for me to believe that it doesn’t have to go through eight layers of bureaucracy. 

A member of Brave1 has tested a new type of weapon by destroying a Russian stronghold using a 100 kg projectile. 

The planes that Ukraine’s drones attacked in a spectacular demonstration of stealth and planning? The US estimates they hit 20 planes. Ukraine said they hit 40. Russia says they didn’t hit any. 

A new Center for Strategic and International Studies report points out that, since January 2024, Russia has barely gained any territory while suffering immensely. Russia’s economy is in trouble. Putin’s belief that he can win a war of attrition is wrong. I think one of the many, many benefits of Ukraine being careful who they hit and doing their best to limit innocent casualties, is that the Russian soldiers so no reason why they are fighting. They are not fighting for their families. They are not fighting for revenge. They are fighting for a megalomaniac who cares not one whit for them. 







There was a fire at an airfield in Bryansk, Russia, after a series of loud explosions. Some bloggers are claiming the target was an Iskander short range ballistic missile system. 

Ukraine and Japan signed a $3 billion loan deal. The loan will be covered by the proceeds from frozen Russian assets. 

A device under rails exploded in Russia’s Belford Oblast. A train went over it. It caused delays for 19 trains.
