An office day and the time of high tide meant that I would have been rushed to get to work. Instead Yvonne met me at my office an hour before I was due to start, we walked to Maldon coffee and got take out and headed to the Prom, via the Quay.

The coffee and company was good.  We chatted about our gratitude for living where we do.  In the park we were admiring a recently planted, yet to be finished, commemorative bed and Simon from the parks team then told us all about his planting scheme for the adjacent one.  Looking forward to watching it bloom.

He promised to save a little water from the tank on his truck, to loosen some mud we ad highlighted further along the path.  Yvonne confirmed later it was cleared.

It was a great way for me to start the day and my.mood was lifted a lot by it.
