Hosta Flower "Big Daddy"

The Hostas are starting to flower.  This one if memory serves is a variety called Big Daddy".  As the name suggests it is a large plant.

Hosta are a genus of plants grown a lot for the ornamental vegetation.  Native to Asia they thrive in cultivation.  The main problem is slugs seem to love them.  What is not commonly known is that all hostas are edible they belong to the same group as Asparagus.  In some countries they are grown as vegetables.
