Come and Sing

Mark and I have been at a “Come and Sing” all day today.  We had to be in Broughton Village Hall at 9 am ready for the warm-up and after 4 hours practice we all travelled to Skirling Church for more practice and a performance of Fauré’s Requiem.  Afterwards Phil, who used to be an organist at the church, gave a demonstration of the new church organ (which had recently been moved from Broughton church) and the choir and audience sang a few hymns.  It was a really super day.  Skirling Church had been beautifully decorated so I chose a picture of it for today’s blip
