Missed it by t h a t much!
More about the landing gears... The other day my boss asked me if I had any issues doing a full turn with a short trailer as another driver was complaining they couldn't do so. After I said no issues, my boss asked me to take some photos so he could show the other driver they weren't doing things right. (the fifth wheel wasn't fully slid back) I started with the truck straight with the trailer and the last photo was a full intentional jackknife. I had no issues. The top photo shows when the tires were at the closest to the landing gears cross bar - when the truck was at a 45 degree angle as expected. This is trucking 101 and that other driver should have known better...
In the extra is why there are policies and procedures to follow and yes, a few years ago where I currently work, a driver was seriously hurt not doing things the right way..
This is uploaded on Saturday afternoon as I didn't get home from work until after midnight Saturday morning..
