PRETTY BIRD

I was at Road America today for the June Sprints....vintage auto racing.  Between races I was sitting in my golf cart reviewing what was coming up next when I saw this bird land on a twig on a nearby maple tree.  So I grabbed the Z9 and made a couple of shots.

It turned out to be an Indigo Bunting (Passerina cyanea)....a male in breeding colors.  Beautiful bird....singing his head off.  Probably trying to tell the race cars to get out of his territory!

P.S.   I had the body set to crop mode so the magnification is 900mm effective.
