Funeral Flowers

Thunderstorm as we walked to the graveyard, Liam, dramatic to the last. The ceremony was moving and all of Liam's friends and neighbours as well as a small Irish family group paid tribute to him. The picture shows a friend casting a flower and then a shovel of earth in where his bamboo urn had been placed. In front of the plot a gingko tree which they had planted.
Sandwichs, soup, Irish music in a local bar afterwards. Time back in Hanna's with her family, our family after that. Z and I had done a photobook of Liam from baby to recent years and that was pored over with smiles and tears.
