Tea anyone?
My wife and I were through in Giffnock today for lunch to mark a friend’s 70th birthday. After a lovely meal packed with Middle Eastern flavours - his wife is Jordanian/ German - we had peppermint tea served in a colourful Jordanian teapot with tasty barazeq biscuits. They are originally from Syria and are covered in sesame seeds and pistachio.
More family and friends arrived adding different backgrounds to the list: Kuwaiti, Iraqi, Sri Lankan and Glaswegian. It was a fun filled noisy event with some delicious pastries and home made cakes. The birthday boy made the 70 one!
Home from lunch at 21:30. A lovely day.
