Cuteness Overload

I have been making an effort to get out more taking photos.  Today, I met up with a friend (and colleague) who has been off work for several weeks (since her mom unexpectedly passed away). It was great fun for both of us and much needed for her as she is returning to work on Monday and feeling rather anxious.

She had just finished telling me how she had gone for a walk with her daughter and was frightened by a raccoon, when I spied this little one close by.  I showed her that there is no need to be scared as they are simply curious and hoping that you have some treats on you.

The woods were surprisingly quiet...I must go back soon.  Perhaps it was due to the heat.  We are lucky not to have any forest fires close by but we do have poor air quality due to numerous forest fires in Western Canada.  So sad.
