Birthday Cake.

I had to take the girls to school early today as Mia was going on an excursion to Currumbin Sanctuary.

I then took Molly for a quick walk.

And finally, I settled down to make Isabella's birthday cake.

These things always seem to take longer than you think.

I was reluctant to do the icing as the cake was still warm, so I left it until Alexandra took them to McDonalds for a treat.

I always seem to make my icing too thin, although I thought I hadn't this time.  But when I put the little figurines on, they kept keeling over.

We managed to get them to stay upright long enough for Isabella to blow her candles out.

Isabella's birthday isn't until tomorrow, but we decided to have the cake tonight.

Alexandra and Mia will decorate the dining room tonight and Isabella will have her presents in the morning.

And although she is going back to her Dad's tomorrow, the girls are staying with us for an extra 4 hours in the morning.

So, we are going out for breakfast tomorrow as well.
