Friday Funday

Taking full advantage of being off work today following our late coach home from London last night/this morning, we arranged to meet up with a few pals this afternoon for some bevvies and chat. We all wanted to try out a new cult movie/rock bar called Spoilers in Digbeth, but as it doesn't open until 5pm, we met in The Wolf and scoffed a pizza at Barrel Store before heading over. I loved it at Spoilers; there's movie posters and quotes everywhere, there's an outdoor terrace stuffed with TMNT murals, there's a projector that, when we were there, was showing Brain Dead, and the beverages were a lot cheaper than elsewhere in Brum. (A round of 5 alcoholic drinks there cost me £20, where a round of 2 beers and 1 lemonade cost Rich £18 in The Crown...!) We rounded off the night by visiting Low Places, a new country bar also in Digbeth, where I almost did a line dance but chickened out! An all-around delightful day.
