Macro Day Out
After a leisurely breakfast at my hotel in Chippenham I headed cross country to my destination for the day, Lower Moor Nature Reserve, to met up with workshop leader Clive Greenland and 8 other fellow photographers for a day of macro photography. Clive proved to be a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic proponent of the subject, and knew where to take us on this fairly extensive site to get the best opportunity of shots.
The weather played ball, even if it was a touch breezy, and I for one had a great day and came away with shots I was really pleased with. I just wish this was nearer to me for a visit!
Since it is Flower Friday day, I just had to post this shot of a bee orchid. It was a lone specimen so had us lining up to take its photo! Other highlights in extras were the largest caterpillar most of us had seen, a few butterflies and teeny tiny insects.
It was a good day, especially for a last minute booking!
