What a Day!

A day so busy I didn't take a photo of any of the things I should have...only this one of Maggie napping in her new "house" She has been so enamoured of the new abode I created for her by draping a quilt over the coffee table, she was much displeased when I took it all down to get ready for company. Today I was hosting book club and after that, my daughter (of the uncluttered house) was arriving for a visit, so much tidying up was required.  

Book club went really well. The book, Revenge of the Tipping Point , provided a lot of material for discussion, the Zoom hook-up was glitch-free, and lunch, as simple it was, went smoothly. No culinary disasters.

And then my daughter came to visit and stay overnight. It is such a treat to have her here. I am always in awe of her energy level; so much gets done when she is around!  Right away she started tackling those annoying things around the house that must be attended to, but involve heavy lifting, ladders, or technological savvy.  

And then there was the hockey game. Florida was winning by one goal and then with only 18 seconds to go Edmonton scored! Wow! Overtime! Well, it took 2 overtime periods to finally decide..and unfortunately  it was Florida who scored. I missed that...I went to bed after the first overtime period . After the unusually active day I had had, I was just too exhausted to stay up any longer!
