Failte
I was on Eilean Mor MacCormick again today. I am now one of the 7 Trustees of the charity that looks after it and we had a Trustees meeting on the island at lunchtime - a great privilege to be at such a thing.
We were there, though for two other reasons. Firstly we were remembering and celebrating the life of the lat Cllr Kenny McLean whose family were scattering his ashes on the island today. Kenny was a long standing enthusiast for the island and a very hard working volunteer who helped to make it what it is today.
The second was to officially mark the erection of some wonderful new information boards about the island which have been designed and drawn by the cartoonist Greg Moodie. Greg is in this picture beside the piper, and the opening was done by John Swinney, Scotland's First Minister.
My extra photos include one of Greg and John and the main part of the display within the bothy. Although rain was forecast, the day actually turned out well and there was some sunshine as we returned on the boat to Tayvallich.
