Groove
Back in the groove in Maputo and after a day in the office, I had an evening jaunt to my go-to café for some prawn rissoles. I don’t know what causes someone to feel a particular affection for a place like this, perhaps the unremarkable nature of it itself. This eatery strikes the balance of being down to earth, with friendly waitresses and uncomplicated, tasty fare. The owner and his sons usually sit unsmilingly behind the counter and perhaps the lack of showiness and fanfare is what draws me.
