Brocante in the Park

M and I went along to ‘Brocante in the Park’ this morning. It’s an antique fair in the grounds of Bayfield Hall in the pretty Glaven Valley. This is the ruined church in the grounds. We usually walk past it, but on the other side of the valley, so it was good to get up close to it today.

It’s an event that has grown over the years and is now very popular but it still retains that sort of ‘posh car boot’ feel. The entry fee is for charity and the local church in Glandford is one of the beneficiaries.

We bought a set of 3 stone Art Nouveau style heads to hang on one of our garden fences. We also bought a small intricately woven heart shaped basket which we will probably hang on the wall of the conservatory, it was only £4 so a bit of a bargain.

We’re out for dinner at The Dales with our friends J&P this evening.

What an enjoyable day.
