View from Portobello Beach

As partner doesn't like travelling, I thought it would be a good idea, as last Monday was a public holiday, if I take the Monday off after the holiday. SO still using 5 days annual leave. Not too bad, the rain showers hold off. there is even a bit of sunshine for a wee daunder around the park.

After the second lot of washing is hung up, we opt for a trip to Portobello. We find a nice wee café on the prom for lunch. The we head to the high street to visit the various charity shops, and a bit of window shopping of the more quirky shops, hoping the sun will appear. Not wanting to spend the day in shops, it is then back down to the prom, We head to the southern end of the prom, so we can walk nothwards along the entire mile..Blip was taken walking north looking across the Firth of Forth towards Fife at about halfway. At the top end, we walk souht, the in to the centre of Portobello for afternoon coffee and cake. A quick visit to couple more charity shops, then home.
