Fledgy
Its been a little while since we were at the wall so first thing we headed out to get a climb in. We were the first in, but it soon filled up and it sounds like its been a busy week for them which is good news.
After some shopping it was time to get my wheel back on my bike. An offroad excursion a few weeks ago gave me a hole in my inner tube and also seemed to do a number on my tyre when we put the tube back in. P fitted my new tyre last weekend, so today was about cleaning the gears and the hard to reach bits of frame whilst the wheel was still off and then getting the wheel back on. We managed the wheel bit much better this time, but still must have knocked the mech as my gears need re-aligning. I'll try and get it serviced next weekend as I'm rubbish at doing that myself and I really want to get my bike back.
Highlight of the day was having two starling fledglings in the tree for most of the day and we spent quite a bit of time watching their parents come back and feed them. The parents were diligent, using the feeders but also brining back worms and insects for a varied diet. They fledgings were very greedy and just sat there shouting. One was a bit more adventerous and came a bit nearer onto the fence posts, even whilst I was sorting my bike. Took lots of blips but I think this is the best.
