Our Pigeon

The pair nesting near the house are dutiful parents taking turns to guard the young or fetch food - they have regular 'shift' changes!
I saw one of the youngsters this morning as its head was well above nest top as it feed from the parent's crop. We go away tomorrow for a couple of weeks, so I expect the nest will be deserted by the time we are home. Maybe they'll return next year. 
Preparations today for our time away as everything has to be loaded into the motorhome. Last things in the morning and then we'll set off for Suffolk to see my brother, before moving on to the coast. Fingers crossed for fair weather with high tides and dramatic skies!
