Last night in the hotel
Today E got two very strong opponents. They had a bad start of their tournament so they were very eager to win from E. The first round was a draw (again!), and very strong played by E.
The second game E went down fighting…
The biggest win from today was the second opponent didn’t make a problem of making E’s moves where he did make a very big problem of it in the past, even after a referee telling him it is a rule in situations like E who can’t execute the move, or when you play against blind players with a braille board and a normal board.
When E noticed he had to play against this player he immediately contacted the referee to ask how to handle. This referee knows the opponent as well and told E he was at the board directly at the start of the round to explain the rules again to make sure there will be no problems. The referee was close to their board for the whole game and secured a friendly atmosphere. We will see what happens next time, but it looks like it will be okay in the future too. Big win!
Another big win: I feel like my battery is recharging. Lots of nice conversations and lots of laughs are doing a great job for me.
Tomorrow two games, and then it’s finished.
