Acorn Bank

Faffing in the garden and then wandered up to Acorn Bank.

I met a young woman who lives in the nearby cottages. She had just given up on trying to carry on her walk on the footpath which is utterly waterlogged again … she even had wellies on. I told her about my recent correspondence

She told me that when she was little they used see water voles along here. Our encounter energised me to get back on the case but as I was leaving the grounds I saw the manager locking up and spoke to her and she updated me saying that there were plans to restore the weir and fish ladder and there’s some hope that the work may form part of that project. In the meantime, take a snorkel.
