Ancient history

Today we took my brother along to lovely West Bay. After a wander around and coffee we went up to the little village of Powerstock, about 3 miles from Bridport. It’s a lovely place made more special to meals I’ve found I had various ancestors living there in the mid 1600’s. JP had ancestors living in Bridport around the same time. We wonder if they met on days and knew each other! The photo is inside the  church there, with bits dating from the 11000’s - the wonky arch comes from that period. Did my ancestors worship there- probably!
This evening we took my brother up to Dorchester to see the film The Salt Path about a couple walking the south west coast path - well worth watching.
