'A Dragonfly Walked Into a Bar'...

Sorry...Not even a good joke! I'm just trying to stay positive today.
This is a Bar-winged Skimmer, Libellula axilena. Living mostly in the eastern U.S., they are found as far west as eastern Texas. Males of the species are light blue in color so this one is a female or possibly an immature male. I've occasionally noticed these little beauties around our pond but never took the time to identify one.  m
