Peanut Bites
Dad here bringing lunch for the little ones and I know that because he has collected peanuts bits in his beak small enough to feed to them.
Sitting on the bench outside I was having a bit of an experiment. I can't well I could take a tripod but on a boat the legs would be a massive hinderance. I have a monopod which I've never got on with but attached a Vanguard head to hold the lens. I tried this set up with the owls but maybe I was trying a lens that for me was too heavy at the time so, having been resurrected (not me the camera bit) I tried it out for stability and ease of holding really with the 100-300mm. AND I've watched U-tube. I wasn't unhappy with this shot behind glass and the Extra was me sitting outside on a bench with it trained on the bird feeder. It was really stable but think as it balances against your eye, contact lenses might be a better call.
I was going to go up north today but with my leg scenario just can't and happily my brother is wanting to go up this week instead of next so a win win.
Been checking out the call out charges for a vet to come here - 3 miles ish £400. Really!!!! That's without the bill.
