High Sweden Bridge

Tom and had a slow hike up to Sweden High Bridge and back this morning. It’s a beautiful walk, steep at first. Through woodland on a stoney path to the old pack horse bridge. The water was really cold, much cooler than Grasmere on Saturday.
We enjoyed refreshments at The Apple Pie in Ambleside.
In the afternoon we visited Holehird Gardens. Kept by the Lakeland Horticulture Society. It’s a great garden, with formal areas a beautiful rose garden, green houses and a larger informal area with pathways.
I decided to visit Hayes on the way back, it was a bit of a let down plus they are refurbishing the cafe.
