We are moving office at the end of term, and I found this in an old notebook. The author is 23 now and much better at spelling.

I was irritable today, woken at 4.30 by a seagull banging something repeatedly on the flat roof above our heads. Sometimes I don’t mind an early start, today was not one of those days.
