Today's the day ....................... to feel the force

We had a few hours of dry weather this morning, before the heavens opened and the rain lashed down.  It's still lashing now with even greater force - so much so, in fact, that I have chickened out of Walking Football practice this evening.  

Instead, I'm nicely in the warm and dry, from where I leave you with a picture I took earlier of some of the dwarf irises that have appeared in the garden.  I always get a surprise when I see them because they really are so very dark - and, let's face it - a bit evil looking.  It makes me think of something straight out of Star Wars - Darth Vader perhaps?

The force is certainly very strong with them, I feel ......................
