Very sad news that beautiful Buddy who we have walked from a tiny pup nine years ago passed away in his sleep last week. Especially heartbreaking for his family as they were away on holiday and he was being looked after by friends. Other than being a bit off his food he was ok. They went to bed and when they got up in the morning he had gone :0( 

It's such a shock as he was so full of life. I really loved him and I will miss him so much. 

I finished work early so took Lime for an in-hand walk just so he's been out of the field. This bloody cast is getting on my nerves now. I went home to pick up Eva then straight back to the yard where we gave Edie a little lesson on Jack. She had a canter on him with Eva running alongside and did really well. They did lots of jobs for us before we got there as well. 

Then Syd and Eva rode out on Indy and Buddy which involved some faff moving lime into the top of jack's field so he had some company while they were gone. Eva led Indy over the road and I had the other two. Some complete **** came hooning up behind them on a dirt bike (no number plate, no helmet) and Indy shot forward dragging Eva. He slowed down a bit but continued past and Eva couldn't hold Indy. Luckily he just trotted into the yard and I caught him but could have been a different story. I was so cross. Because of that Eva lost her nerve to ride him so Syd rode him again. He was hoof perfect. We got home very late.
