My key ring and my tiny yellow Croc…
This seems an ideal pic for Tiny Tuesday.
I’m scraping the bottom of the barrel a bit trying to find a saying with an interesting origin so I’ve used that as today’s saying.
The phrase "scraping the bottom of the barrel" originates from the practice of storing food in barrels, especially in the early European history. As food supplies dwindled, only the least desirable, and perhaps inedible, remnants would remain at the very bottom of the barrel, requiring scraping to retrieve. This act of scraping the bottom of the barrel became a metaphor for using whatever is available, even if it's of poor quality or the worst option, when one is faced with a shortage or a difficult situation.
