Hi-ho, hi-ho...

...its off to work the robot lawnmower goes.   

Faced with us both  growing older and a daunting amount of grass around the house we have reverted not just to "no mow" areas but also to using a robot lawnmower.  

We have now had  it for over a year  and it has performed well.   We have also slowly expanded the areas it can get into, including up by the study .   That required filling in the edge of the bit where we park our cars, and then seeding it. 

Now the machine seems more than capable of coming through it and tackling the steeper part at the top of this path.

The problem however is securing enough dry days so that the blades and cutting discs don't clog with wet grass.   Fine a month ago, but this June - well,  undoubtedly  an issue !
