Another Day Another Adventure

It’s Igor’s birthday today. As we were going to be in Paris he opted to visit the Musée D’Orsay. Neither of us expected it to be so busy. Getting between the floors wasn’t easy. There were escalators and lifts but not in any seemingly logical places and the map they gave us wasn’t very useful. We eventually managed to visit most of the five floors but in a very random order.
The biggest surprise was getting to the top floor and finding ourselves behind the clock. There was a queue of visitors waiting to take their turn to photograph friends and relatives posing in front of it. I didn’t notice the queue and just stepped forward to take a shot looking through the clock across the Seine to the right bank (extrs). I got told off but I’d already got my shot. I settled for this shot showing someone else’s relative.
It’s been another great day and so far Igor has enjoyed his birthday. We’ll go out for a nice dinner this evening. Instead of a birthday cake he’ll probably have a tarte frambois. I wonder if I can persuade them to put a candle in it??? :-)))
