Making tracks

(10/6/25)
I am attempting to catch up with blips since the start of June, going backwards, so hopefully the story will make sense and I won't be jumping around between days. :)

So, the week began, and I waited an hour before I messaged the garage to find out what was wrong with the car. I was hoping it was merely changing a broken belt, so I was horrified when I received an estimate that was over $2000. Argh! The belt has damaged the two components that it works with so the crankshaft pulley and the A/c compressor have to be changed. Needless to say, I won't be spending that kind of money on an old car; the first thing was to organise wheels for the next few days.

My blip is taken during the last part of travelling to the airport to collect the hire car. Rather than taking the bus, which would take over an hour, I got a taxi to a Mall that is two stops away from the airport. We got there in 30 minutes, avoiding weekday commuter traffic. :))

This time, I didn't opt for an upgrade and stuck with the inexpensive Chinese option. This time, the car is white, is just a few months old,  and it doesn't have a single scratch on it. The pressure is on to keep it that way.

We went to Festival City to get something to eat and to do a grocery shop before coming home. I wanted to look at my pictures, but other things called, like sorting out an issue with Google Ads for my YouTube channel. I think I've found someone on Fiverr.
