From Cove To Cove
This morning we walked from Mullion Cove to Poldhu Cove, which is just beyond the headland with the white building in the middle distance, and back, about 3 miles each way.
There was a convenient cafe for coffee and cake on the beach at Poldhu. As we set off from there on the way back we got chatting to a woman who is walking the entire length of the South West Coast Path, over 600 miles, in one go. She set off from Minehead in Somerset 33 days ago and is camping as she goes. She reckoned she still has nearly 400 miles to go.
She’d been joined today by two her friends who are walking with her for a couple of days and they soon left us behind.
We did catch up with them at the cafe back at Mullion, where they were refuelling on Cornish pasties!
We spent the afternoon sitting and reading in the sun on the lodge patio, followed by a pre-dinner soak in the hot tub.
