I can remember as a child having to hold my arms out, so that Mum could hook a skein of wool around them while she wound it all into a ball. This is a bit of wool that a Mind shop customer didn't want, (you definitely can't dress babies in orange, oh no!), so I took it out of the bag of creamy nothingness and brought it home.
It reminded me that I knitted a matinée jacket, hat and booties 39 years ago for my firstborn, Rose, in bright red double knitting. I was so far ahead of my time that no-ones caught up yet.... unless you know better?
Charity shop then dentist, who is thankfully still NHS - he's the only one in the practice who is - my teeth and my 3 dental implants were x-rayed and pronounced in good order phew! Appointments for next year's checkup and a hygienist clean were made, then home for a walk and a nice chat with said daughter.
